Weather Brief May 22, 2020

Midcoast Forecast - April 14, 2021

High pressure remains in place over the region on Wednesday providing abundant sunshine with highs in the 50s along the coast and some low 60s inland. Clouds will increase on Thursday as high pressure moves east and the upper level low that has been stalled to the west finally pushes into the region. A secondary low will form ahead of this along the Mid Atlantic coast late Thursday then track through the Gulf of Maine on Friday and into early Saturday. The upper low will provide a mass of cold air while the coastal low pumps in moisture through New England resulting in a mix of rain and snow with wet snow accumulations likely during this period. The coast will see mainly rain but some snow will be possible with the bulk of the snow found across interior New England and in the mountains. Precipitation will taper off Saturday morning with clouds lingering through the day with highs in the low to mid 40s. We'll see a mix of sun and clouds on Sunday with temperatures creeping up into the upper 40s. Skies will continue to clear during the early week as highs climb back into the mid to upper 50s.
