Midcoast Today Apr 03, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - April 3, 2018

Clouds have pushed in through the day Tuesday ahead of an area of low pressure that will bring rain and snow mix tonight followed by rain showers and milder air for Wednesday. Rain will begin during the evening and early night Tuesday mixing with pockets of snow before changing to all rain during the overnight. Snow totals will be of little impact with just a dusting at the coast and up to an inch inland which will melt as we change to all rain. Showers will be spotty through early Wednesday with some peaks of sun possible as highs climb around 50. Another round of more organized rain will push in from the west during the afternoon as a cold front moves in that will eventually clear to the east Wednesday night as drier and cooler air moves in. Rainfall totals will range between 1/4" and 1/2" for most Midcoast spots.
Sunshine will be back Thursday with temperatures only into the 30s for most during the afternoon, below normal for this time of year. This cool air will set the stage for a chance of more snow Friday as another storm rolls through with a rain and snow mix with a couple inches of snow accumlation possible. Temperatures will rebound back into the 40s for the weekend with a mix of sun and clouds which will melt any new snow.
