Weather Brief Apr 24, 2018

Midcoast Forecast - April 24, 2018

Tuesday has been another gorgeous day across the Midcoast with sunny skies and mild temperatures. It was a little cooler along the coast with onshore flow keeping highs in the 50s and 60s but inland temperatures climbed to the 60s and low 70s. Clouds will build in Tuesday night keeping temperatures mild with lows in the 40s and 50s eventually becoming overcast for most by sunrise Wednesday.

Clouds will lead to scattered light rain starting between the late morning and mid afternoon from west to east as an area of low pressure moves in from the southwest. Rain will become heavier and more organized into the overnight and early Thursday with some embedded thunder possible. Highs on Wednesday will be cooler with the clouds and rain in place, either side of 50.

Low pressure will slow as it passes through Thursday with some dry air mixing in making rain showers less frequent through the day with some peaks of sun possible. Skies will clear into Friday with temperatures rebounding back around 60 across the Midcoast. A weak system will move in Saturday with clouds and spotty showers followed by cooler weather Sunday as mostly sunny skies return.

Sunshine continues early next week with warm temperatures continuing with highs in the 60s at the coast and 70s inland.
