Midcoast Forecast - April 13&14, 2019

Showers will come to an end Saturday morning as a warm front pushes to the north and east. The passing of the warm front will usher in unseasonably warm air into Maine along breezy south winds with highs climbing into the 60s and low 70s with the warmest readings over southwest Maine. We'll see partly to mostly sunny skies by the afternoon aiding in this warm up.

A cold front will pass through late in the day ushering in slightly cooler air for the second half of the weekend. We'll see a mostly sunny start to to Sunday but clouds will steadily move in through the day with highs reaching the 50s. The clouds are ahead of a broad area of low pressure that will move through the region during the early week bringing soaking rains Sunday night and through much of Monday with around 1" of accumulation. Winds will be brisk out of the south through Monday with highs in the 40s. Clouds will gradually clear heading into the mid week with highs holding in the 40s and low 50s with partly to mostly sunny skies by Wednesday. Clouds will build back in into the late week as a larger storm system rolls in with rain chances through the late week and into the weekend.
