Mid-Winter Book Sale starts Feb. 1

Camden Public Library
Jan 15, 2020
The Camden Public Library Mid-Winter Book Sale will be held at the Blue Door Book Shed starting Feb. 1.

Camden — The Camden Public Library will hold its Mid-Winter Book Sale on the first two weekends in February. Books will be on sale at the Blue Door Book Shed adjacent to the “Meadow Parking Lot,” just past the Camden Amphitheatre. Sale dates are Saturdays and Sundays, Feb. 1, 2, 8, and 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The tables will be restocked each evening to ensure that there’s a full selection to choose each day.

The Library has received significant donations of new and old books over the last several months. There will be a full table of books for children of all ages, as well as an array of non-fiction, including biographies, histories, cooking, humor, pets and gardening. There will also be a good selection of puzzles, CDs, and DVDs for sale. The Feb. 1 sale will run concurrent with Winterfest 2020.

The book sales, which are held throughout the year, generate significant income for the Camden Public Library; during the most recent fiscal year they contributed more than $30,000 to the Library’s operating budget. This could not be done without support from the community both through donating books to the library to be sold and by buying books, CDs and DVDs at the sales.

The Camden Public Library is happy to accept donations of nice, well cared for books of any age and for any age (though please no books with mold or mildew) at the Book Shed most Tuesdays between 9 a.m. and noon throughout the year. For more information, call 236-3440.
