Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition to hold ribbon-cutting June 1

Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition's new office is on Main Street in Rockland.

Rockland — The Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition has relocated its office to downtown Rockland. Its new address is 411 Main St., Suite 205. The office phone number is 701-1182.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, generally from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Staff and volunteers are available to assist walk-ins with questions or requests for assistance in regard to drug or alcohol addiction. In time, the coalition hopes hours will be expanded to cover early evenings and weekends, particularly as more volunteers join.

Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition seeks interested volunteers to greet visitors, provide written materials and to contact the organization’s recovery coaches, who are trained to provide assistance to people in need. To learn about volunteer opportunities, use the contact information below.

Recovery coaches may also be reached 24 hours daily, seven days a week by calling 701-1182.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Friday, June 1, at 3 p.m. led by Rockland Main Street Inc., the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce, the city of Rockland and others.

Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition will also hold a half-day open house June 14 to invite businesses and the public to learn more about the coalition and  enjoy light refreshments.
