A Maple tree turns color at Merryspring Nature Center.

Camden — Merryspring Nature Center, 30 Conway Road, will host a free family fall foliage walk Saturday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. The walk will lead guests through the forests and meadows of Merryspring to view changing leaves at peak season. Along the way, guests will learn a little about the science of why leaves change colors, look and listen for birds and find evidence of animals and the changing season. Part of the walk will take guests over the three new trail bridges that were built on the perimeter trail in the summer of 2019.

This program is part of the Free Family Programs series at Merryspring and is open to all ages. This is an outdoor event; guests should wear weather appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes and be prepared to walk on uneven terrain for at least one hour. In the event of very heavy rain, the program will be canceled. For more information, contact info@merryspring.org or call 236-2239.
