Meet Valentine

Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County
Jan 16, 2014

Meet Valentine. She's such a pig. Literally. Valentine is a very sweet, very friendly pig that is currently residing at the shelter but looking for a home. Make no mistake about it, she is a pet pig. She loves attention, she communicates through snorts and grunts. Her favorite food is a juicy apple and she likes carrying around her Frisbee disc. We're looking for pig savvy people who can give her the loving home she deserves. In the meantime, Valentine eats a lot. She's a pig after all. We will gladly accept donations of fruits and vegetables for her and can REALLY use donations of pine shavings, lots of pine shavings. Input, output. She generates a lot of output. If you are interested in adopting a 300-plus pound pig, stop by and meet Valentine.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Pig out for Pets at Cappy's Chowder House last week. It was a packed house! It was nice to see so many familiar faces and a lot of new ones too. We appreciate the amazing support. A big thank you to Cappy's for stepping up to the plate to make this happen and Cappy's staff for doing a great job. The night raised an extraordinary $1,656 for the animals. What a fabulous night!
