Medomak Valley High School graduates 133

Waldoboro — Friends, family and well-wishers from the community filled the gymnasium at Medomak Valley High School June 12 to celebrate the achievements of the class of 2019.

A total of 133 students marched in to receive their diplomas.

Salutatorian Claire Bourett addressed the class of 2019, and valedictorian Mackenzie Bickmore chose the theme of kindness for her speech.

More than $700,000 in scholarships were awarded to students during graduation. The Worthington Scholarship Foundation gave out more than $300,000 of that.

Graduates joining the armed forces were also celebrated.
