Suzette McAvoy

Hope — Suzette McAvoy, executive director and chief curator at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, will speak about Maine’s exceptional legacy in the arts Tuesday, May 22, at 6:30 p.m. at the Hope Library, 443 Camden Road/Route 105.

McAvoy will share the story of Maine’s art history and the vital role CMCA plays in celebrating it. No state has contributed more to the history of American art than Maine, McAvoy contends. By supporting, exhibiting and sustaining art and artists with ties to Maine, CMCA has been carrying forward Maine’s exceptional legacy.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 763-3553 or visit hopelibrary.org.
