Chloe Maxmin

In a tight race, Democrat Chloe Maxmin of Nobleboro won the State Senate District 13 seat, beating Incumbent Republican Dana Dow of Waldoboro.

Some towns have not reported to the Courier-Gazette, but the few remaining communities have reported in other media outlets, and results show Maxmin defeating the Republican State Senate leader.

The Portland Press Herald reports with all town results, Maxmin won 12,603 to 12,045.

Dow was seeking his third consecutive term to the Senate seat. Dow served in the state Senate from 2004 through 2008 and represented Waldoboro, Bremen, Nobleboro and Jefferson in the Maine House from 2010 to 2012.

He is president of Dow Furniture in Waldoboro.

Maxmin represents House District 88 (Chelsea, Whitefield, Jefferson and half of Nobleboro). She was elected in 2018.

See chart below for the voting results for State Senate District 13.
