Washington — State Representatives Chloe Maxmin and Jeffrey Evangelos will be greeting constituents and voters at the Gibbs Library in Washington Saturday morning, from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 8.

The two representatives invite any interested people to attend and hear about the current legislative session and ask questions about the critical issues facing the state.

In a joint statement, the two legislators said "we have been receiving a lot of concerns regarding CMP about the over billing crisis and the unpopular western Maine power line proposal.

In addition, the two representatives are deeply concerned about the unreasonable proposed NOAA regulations that could have a disastrous effect on Maine's lobster industry and indicated they will continue to fight to protect the industry. We also will outline the current legislative session and look forward to fielding questions."

Rep. Maxmin resides in Nobleboro and represents House District 88, which also includes Jefferson, Whitefield, and Chelsea. She has filed to run for the State Senate, District 13, which includes all of Lincoln County, and the towns of Washington and Windsor.

Rep. Evangelos resides in Friendship and represents House District 91, which also includes Washington, Waldoboro, and West Union. He has filed to seek re-election for his seat in the Maine House of Representatives.

"We look forward to greeting folks Feb. 8 and welcome people from neighboring towns to also attend."
