Master gardener to lead presentation on seed propagation Sept. 17

Aug 30, 2019
Late summer is a good time to collect seeds for next year’s garden.

Camden — Gardener John Fromer will lead a presentation on perennial seeds and propagation at Merryspring Nature Center, 30 Conway Road, Camden, Tuesday, Sept. 17 at noon. Fromer will teach gardeners how to divide existing perennials, how to gather seeds from plants, and how to take cuttings to propagate new plants. A selection of recommended gardening books and tools will be available for purchase after the program. This is an outdoor program; guests should wear weather-appropriate clothing.

Fromer has been a Maine Master Gardener since 1998 and runs Appleton Ridge Flower and Vegetable Farm with his wife Kathy, also a Maine Master Gardener.

This event is part of the Summer Talk series; admission is $5, with free admission for members of Merryspring.
