Maritime Energy supports company-related graduates

Maritime Energy will give $500 to each 2020 graduate who is child or grandchild of an employee.

“Graduates have had such a hard time this year,” said Susan Ware Page, president of Maritime Energy. “They have missed life events and been forced to adapt during some of the most memorable times of school. We felt it was important to do something extra this year for the graduates of our Maritime Family. We’re proud of them all and can’t wait to see what their next steps in life bring them.”

In a company video sent to employees, Maritime’s Energy highlighted 14 graduates.

Abbey Lacasse, daughter of Suzanne Lacasse, Maritime financial manager, graduated from Husson University with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Studies and will be pursuing her master’s.

Alexandra Balla, granddaughter of Jan Giggey, Maritime’s Waldo County service dispatcher, graduated from Camden Hills Regional High School. She has been accepted at the University of New England.

Zane Mohler, grandson of Annette Robinson, CSR in Maritime’s Montville office, graduated from Cypress Creek High School in Houston, Texas. Mohler will be attending the University of Houston and majoring in Accounting.

Cody York, son of Michelle York, Maritime’s Nobleboro office manager, graduated from Southern Maine Community College with an associate degree in Architectural Engineering Design.

Donovan Armstrong, son of Brianne Johnson, Maritime’s Montville office field dispatcher, graduated from Belfast High School, and is applying to the University of Maine.

Dylan Abbott is an employee at Maritime’s Belmont Store, graduated from Belfast High School and will be attending Maine Maritime Academy.

Emily Wellman is the daughter of Kate Simms and stepdaughter of Tiffany Wellman who work at the Maritime Farms stores. She graduated from Oceanside High School and is working full-time painting and doing carpentry and will be attending college.

Jaylee Rice, daughter of Ty Page, Maritime’s Waldo County service manager, graduated from Nokomis High School and will be attending the University of Maine at Orono to study Biomedical Engineering.

Joey Peasley Jr. grandson of Shirley Buck, Maritime’s after-hours CSR, graduated from Erskine Academy and is joining the workforce.

Jordan Matero, son of Angie Matero, Maritime’s administrative assistant to the president, graduated from the University of Maine with a Business Administration degree and concentration in Marketing.

Maggie Tinker-Wadsworth, daughter of Megan Tinker, Maritime’s accounts receivable specialist, graduated from Oceanside High School and will attend the University of Maine at Orono studying International Marketing.

Matt Stanley, son of Elizabeth Stanley, Maritime’s wholesale receivables specialist, graduated from Oceanside High School and will be entering the United States Marine Corps.

Nathaniel Rogers, son of Wanda Robinson from Maritime’s Searsport store, graduated from Camden Hills Regional High School and will be attending Bowdoin College.

Wyatt Colson, son of Lisa Taylor, the manager at Maritime’s Tolman Pond store, graduated from Medomak Valley High School and will be entering the workforce.

All graduates will receive $500 from Maritime Energy toward their continuing education or for “real-life” expenses for those entering the workforce.
