Maine’s Memphis in Rockland

Rockland — The weekly Monday night blues series continues Dec. 9 with Memphis Lightning, playing at 7 p.m. in the upstairs music room of Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Doors open 6 p.m., and admission is $10 at the door.

Maine’s own Memphis Lightning delivers energetic blues, rock ‘n’ roll, American roots music and country. The band features Darren "Lightning" Thiboutot on lead and rhythm guitar and vocals; and Darren "Big Red" Thiboutot on drums and vocals. Dance fans can expect a night of classic and original tunes, powered by juke joint rockin’ energy.

The weekly series concludes for the year on Dec. 16, when the Anthony Gomes Band plays the annual dress-up night show ($20). For more information, visit or check out the Facebook page.
