Rockport — Employees at Maine Street Meats have been busy preparing to move the business to its new location at the former Hoboken schoolhouse.

The business, owned by Sarah Bleecker Greer of Camden, has operated out of Rockport Marketplace since 2012. It offers a variety of high-end cheeses, meat products, baked goods and food items. The business also has hosted classes on making sausage.

Its final day at the former location is Jan. 5. Employee Sarah Vokey said it will be about three weeks before it opens at its new location at 310 Commercial St.

When it does reopen, Maine Street Meats will be expanded to include breakfast and lunch, soups, sandwiches, espresso and coffee. The new location also will offer outdoor deck seating in the summer and will sell beer and wine.

The business has about 16 employees including meat cutters, bakers, kitchen crew and retail associates. With expanded offerings at the new location, it likely will be hiring more team members.
