Rockland — Rockland Elks Lodge President Tom Wenckus and Ann McNally hosted Maine Elks Association President John Nicholson and his wife Tina May on behalf of the Lodge at the Nov. 16 Friday Night Dinner.

The Nicholson's were treated to a tour of the Owls Head Transportation Museum during the afternoon. Trustee Steve O'Brien and crew prepared dinner with several main dish choices including steak, fried haddock, ham, or baked stuffed chicken with all the fixings.

The Lodge gifted the Elks National Foundation $200 in Nicholson's name and presented the couple a framed photo commemorating his visit to the Lodge.

The dinner proceeds were designated for the benefit of veterans causes supported by the Lodge. The Lodge's oldest and longest standing member John Repose and his fellow veterans in attendance were recognized for their sacrifices on the country's behalf.
