M26L1 Deep Cove LN $229,000

M26L1 Deep Cove LN Islesboro, ME 04848

Square Footage: 0 sq ft
Lot Size (Acres): 32.6000

Purchased by a loving family in 1977, this parcel of land has, over the years, grown up from fields to mature woods with nature's tangles of vines, fallen woods, familiar green mosses and the strange little growths on the now many trees situated there. It sits overlooking Ryder's Cove and the East Penobscot Bay, on the pristine island of Islesboro, perhaps the sailing capital of the world; many think it is. The sunrise view sparkles in the morning dew, with distant views of the Camden Hills. 550 of typical Maine gravel beachfront adorns the property with a low gradient to the beach, leaving the elevated land the perfect place for building a residence, your sporting camp for bow hunting deer season on the land, as well as with privacy that 32 acres affords. Many small streams and gully's run through the property as well, providing one of nature's primary sources of nourishment for the birds and small animals on the land. Born and raised on the island of Islesboro, some 2 ½ miles from the mainland, I grew up exposed to the complexities and isolation of island living. For those who do not know our island community, it is located in Penobscot Bay, a twenty-minute ferry ride from Lincolnville Beach in one of the premier boating areas on the Atlantic coast. Dark Harbor, on the southern end of Islesboro, is dotted with fine Shingle Style summer cottages and elsewhere there are antique Capes, saltwater farms and contemporary homes, all full of the many wonderful and diverse people that I know or have known. My family owned a large General Store there, which I bought and operated for many years and experienced meeting people of varying backgrounds and personalities.
I graduated from the University of Maine and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, prior to serving in the US Army, and became a licensed Broker in 1961. For 48 years I have sold Land (waterfront and inland), Estate Properties, Islands, and a wide variety of Residential Homes and Commercial Real Estate.
My wife Diane and I live on the island in a converted 1872 Post and Beam Barn and enjoy cruising the area in our 36’ Jarvis Newman Picnic boat with our children, grandchildren and friends. Let me help you, both Buyers and Sellers, in and about the Penobscot Bay area, to either purchase or sell a property. Experience counts!
