Rockland — Lucas Robert "Luke" Thompson, age 39, passed peacefully with his mother and stepfather by his side. He was born Aug. 18, 1980. He fought a courageous battle with brain cancer and left for his heavenly home Oct. 2, 2019. Luke had a very soft heart, and showed it with his love for animals and babies. He was a very kind person and had a sweet soul. Luke loved sports and kept up with all the statistics. He had a unique sense of humor and frequently made us laugh with his quick wit. He was such a joy to be around. Of his various jobs, his most recent was working for Mike & Crew Moving.

Luke was predeceased by his aunt Martha Alley this past summer and his grandparents, Lucy Judecki and Arthur Alley Sr. He leaves behind his mother and stepfather, Darlene and David Cocke, of Tenants Harbor; father Kevin Thompson of Owls Head; sisters Allison Thompson, Pam Mills and husband Steve, Kassey Thompson; uncle Arthur Alley and wife Pennie; aunt Wendy Roberts and husband Brett; cousins Jeremy Alley, Allie Roberts and Ben Smith; best friend Mike Feraco; and his cat, Philip.

We would like to thank all of his wonderful doctors and the extraordinary people at Sussman House for his great care. We are very thankful for all the loving people who sincerely lifted us up with their prayers and kindness. Our Luke will be so greatly missed, always in our hearts and loved forever.

There will be a memorial service Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. at the Tenants Harbor Baptist Church. Pastor Bill Hickey will officiate.
