Goffstown, N.H. — Louise Elizabeth Toli, 87, passed away peacefully April 9, 2018, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Rockland Sept.16, 1930, she was the daughter of Alden H. Ulmer Jr. and Geneva V. (Benner) Ulmer. She lived most of her life in Goffstown with her husband, Christian Toli. In later years, they enjoyed living in Owls Head in their “cottage” overlooking Penobscot Bay during the spring, summer, fall and returning to their home in Goffstown for the winter months. They loved to travel, but their favorite destination was always Owls Head.

For many years, they owned and operated a family business, Squog Fruit Store, in Manchester, N.H. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. She will be remembered by her family as always having beautiful flower gardens and window boxes, both in Maine and New Hampshire. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her home was a welcoming gathering place for family and friends. She always loved to cook for large family gatherings in her lovely home.

She was predeceased by her husband, Christian Toli, and an infant son, Paul C. Toli. Family members include two daughters, Linda C. Hedrick and husband Rick of Warner, N.H., Nancy L. Toli, of Manchester, N.H.; and a son, John C. Toli, and wife Lisa, of Goffstown, N.H.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, William Ulmer, of Lompoc, Calif. She was predeceased by sisters Kathryn Metro and Virginia Hayward, and brothers Douglas Ulmer and Donald Ulmer.

Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 13, at Goodwin Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 607 Chestnut St., Manchester, N.H. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 335 Smyth Road, Manchester, N.H. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, N.H.
