Lois E. Tarr

Lois E. Tarr, 97, was born in Heinzburg, Vt. May 18, 1916 and died April 5, 2014.

She was the only daughter of Leverette and Louise Davis. She graduated from high school in Bristol, Vt.

She married Howard Tarr May 18, 1937 (predeceased 1990). She is also predeceased by two brothers, Lloyd and Alfred Davis.

She is survived by her son Leonard, his wife Bonnie and their son Tyson; another son Wesley (predeceased 1992) surviving are his two sons, Issac, his wife Christine and their two children Luke and Nora and David, his wife Phoebe and their daughter Audrey.

Lois was a lover of animals and wrote poetry as well as many delightful stories about wildlife.

She was employed at Senter-Crane and later Sears in Rockland.

Lois had a love for her creator and appreciated being one of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1952, and sharing this love about the Bible's positive hope for the future.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Rockland congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses who visited and encouraged Lois and the family as well as many neighbors extended themselves likewise. They also wish to thank hospice for their kind help and assistance through this difficult time. A special thanks to friends Ben and Clarice for their loving support.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 10, at 2 p.m. at Rockland Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (corner of Route 17 and Rockville Street).

Life has changed on our Road with the loss of Lois. Will always have fond memories of talking with her when ever she was out for her daily walks. She will be missed.
