Camden — Play It Forward Music Company, LLC of Rockland will make its debut Sunday, Oct. 14, at 4 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 55 Elm St./Route 1, with a performance of “Great Movie Songs of the Past”: a nearly 75-year journey through some of the most beloved songs heard on the Silver Screen.

The recently formed music company comprises of both professional and amateur musicians, volunteering their time and talent in support of local community organizations. Director Maryann Jack said she feels she’s been fortunate to have such an enthusiastic response from local musicians, enabling her to include a number of instrumentalists and vocalists including Mathew Mainster as a featured pianist.

Committed to combining musical passion with purpose, Jacks said each concert will highlight one community organization through its Spotlight on Community award designed to recognize, raise awareness and lend a helping hand with a financial donation from a portion of the concert proceeds. The First Congregational Church’s weekly free soup lunch program will be the first recipient of this award. The program serves as many as 90 free lunches each Wednesday from October through March in a warm and friendly environment.

The concert is free, with a suggested donation of $10. For more information or to volunteer, email playitforwardmusiccompany@gmail.com.
