Renny Stackpole

Marine historian Renny Stackpole will instruct a Stories of the Sea class for Coastal Senior College. Students will share the works of their favorite maritime authors and poets; and also discuss the life and works of authors such as Conrad, Coleridge and Masefield.

This course will meet for six Tuesdays, beginning Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Bartlett Woods library, 20 Bartlett Drive (off Talbot Avenue) in Rockland.

Those who have enjoyed the British Arthurian tales may consider signing up for The Testing of Sir Gawain, taught by Ann Nesslage over seven Fridays, beginning Sept. 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Bremen Library.

CSC is offering many classes this fall. Print catalogs may be picked dup at libraries and businesses in Lincoln and Knox counties. The class schedule also appears online at coastalseniorcollege.org; and in CLC or Five Towns Adult Ed catalogs. Each CSC course is $35, and membership for a year is $25.
