Lindquist reads at Jackson Memorial

Tenants Harbor — Kristen Lindquist, notable Camden poet, will read her poetry; discuss the life of a poet and her inspirations; and take questions from the audience Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 4 p.m. at Jackson Memorial Library, 71 Main St./Route 131.

Lindquist’s visit promises to be a thoughtful and illuminating program for those who love poetry and those who would are interested in learning more about the genre. Linquist attended Middlebury College in Vermont and received her MFA in Poetry from the University of Oregon. Her poetry and other writings have appeared in such venues as Down East, Maine Times, Bangor Metro, Northern Sky News and Bangor Daily News, as well as various literary journals and anthologies.

Lindquist’s publications include the chapbook “Invocation to the Birds” (Oyster River Press, 2001); “Transportation” (Megunticook Press, 2011), a Maine Literary Award finalist; and “Tourists in the Known World: New & Selected Poems” (Megunticook Press, 2017).
