Rockport — The National Poetry Month series of readings at Rockport Public Library, 485 Commercial St./Route 1, runs Thursdays at 4 p.m., continuing April 12 with Ellen Goldsmith.

On Thursday, April 19, at 4 p.m., Kristen Lindquist will read from her work. Lindquist grew up in the Camden-Rockport area and received her MFA in Poetry from the University of Oregon. She also worked many years at the Bread Loaf Writers Conference in Vermont.

Lindquist’s poetry and other writings have appeared in such venues as Down East, Bangor Metro, The Camden Herald and various anthologies. Her publications include  “Invocation to the Birds,” “Transportation” and “Tourists in the Known World.” Three of her poems were read on NPR's “The Writers Almanac.”

The annual series will conclude April 26 with the library’s resident Poets’ Corner group members reading from its 2018 chapbook. For more information, call 236-3642 or visit rockport.lib.me.us.
