Lincolnville — Lincolnville Community Library, 208 Main St., will host a free talk, “Neuroscience and the Brain’s GPS,” Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. Speaker John Williams will discuss how grid cells in the brain help a person know things such as where they are in a room, their location in time, and their position in society. He will show video clips of neuroscientists explaining their work and then provide his own commentary. Williams, who lives in Lincolnville, has a doctorate in molecular biology from Yale University.
