Wiscasset — The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office has reported the following local incidents:

Nov. 17

Brian J. Bennett, 37, of Waldoboro, was arrested for criminal conspiracy at Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset by Detective Scott Hayden.

A crash occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Nancy M. Carter, 66, of Thomaston, and Brady-Anne Cushing, 41, of Bath. Carter had stopped her Ford Escape at the intersection of Middle Road and Route 27 and Cushing was making a left turn in her 2016 Jeep Cherokee onto Middle Road from Route 27 and cut the corner too sharply, striking the front of Carter’s vehicle. Deputy Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.

Nov. 21

A crash occurred on Rockland Road in Somerville involving Christine L. Elliot, 52, of Washington. Elliot was operating her 2007 Nissan Murano westbound when an animal entered the roadway. Elliot swerved to avoid the animal and as a result, her vehicle crossed the center line, left the roadway and struck a tree. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.

Nov. 22

Michael Thompson, 39, of Belfast was arrested on an outstanding Kentucky warrant for theft by unauthorized taking at Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset by Deputy Kevin Dennison.

Nov. 23

A crash occurred on Route 32 in Bristol involving Meghan E. Kennedy, 34, of Waldoboro. Kennedy was driving her 2005 Honda Element north when a deer entered the roadway from the left side and was struck. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
