Lincoln County Fish and Game hosts 'Turkey shoots' Dec. 6

Waldoboro — The Lincoln County Fish and Game Association will host its annual “.22 Rifle Turkey Shoots,” which will begin on Thursday, Dec. 6 at the Club House at the intersection of Depot and Cross streets.

This year the children's shoot at 6:30 p.m., followed by the adult shoots at 7:30 p.m. The entry fee is $5 per person. Targets and ammunition will be supplied. Children under age 18 are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.

Turkey shoots are a good way to hone skills as well as spend time with family and other like-minded sportsmen, said Becky Morrell, club secretary.

It is recommended to have rifles sighted-in for 50 feet prior to the event.
