Join captain and chef Annie Mahle as she talks about life aboard the J&E Riggin, a beautiful old two-masted schooner that sails out of Rockland.

The J&E Riggin gives three to six day tours and accommodates 24 passengers and 6 crew. The schooner is 89′ long on deck, 120′ overall, 23′ wide and draws 7′ with her centerboard up.

Annie studied at the Culinary Institute of America, then worked in the restaurant industry for eight years, training for three years under a Swiss chef. She is also the author of two cookbooks, At Home, At Sea: Recipes from a Maine Windjammer, and Sugar and Salt. Annie, along with her husband Jon Finger, captain the schooner J&E Riggin.

This program is part of the Rockport Public Library's month long Seafaring Series. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Rockport Public Library and will be held at the Rockport Opera House.
