Level 3 NAGA gymnasts have strong showing at the Fur, Feathers, and Fins Invitational in Fairfield

NAGA Level 3 gymnastics team: Chloe Fordyce, Haley Black, Elise Condon, Julia Peasley, Ella Graffam, and Kayla Reardon

The level 3-7 girls team competed in Fairfield at the Fur, Feathers, and Fins Invitational last Sunday. Representing the level 3 team was Julia Peasley, Kayla Reardon, Elise Condon, Ella Graffam, Haley Black, and Chloe Fordyce.

In the 6-7 year old division, Ella Graffam of Rockport placed 3rd on the vault (8.35), balance beam (8.4), and floor exercise (8.65). She was 4th all-around with a combined score of 32.5.

In the 8-9 year old division Julia Peasley of Lincolnville won  both the vault (9.0) and floor exercise (8.85) and placed 3rd on the balance beam (8.5). Her all-around score of 33.45 placed her 3rd. Kayla Reardon of South Thomaston and Elise Condon of Owls Head also competed in the 8-9 year old division place 7th (31.1) and 8th (29.9) respectively.

For the 10-11 year old age group Haley Black of Rockland won the balance beam with a score of 9.25. She also placed 2nd on both the vault (8.9) and uneven bars (8.2). She received an 8.9 on floor, placing 3rd and was 2nd all--around with a 35.25. Chloe Fordyce of Camden also competed in the 10-11 year old category. She tied for 2nd place on the floor exercise with a 9.0 and placed 3rd on vault with an 8.85. She was 4th all-around with a 34.05

Proceedes and donations were raised at the meet were given to the local animal shelter in Waterville. The girls were also able to participate in a cutest pet photo contest. The next competition for the level 3 team will be on March 9th in Fairfield and then on to the state sectional meet in Westbrook.
