Rockland — Police cruisers and utility trucks helped a large yacht make the trip Monday, Nov. 26, from the Industrial Park to the waterfront in Rockland.

The 66-foot yacht from Back Cove Yachts was hauled from the manufacturing plant to Journey's End Marina on Tillson Avenue.

Police cruisers escorted the yacht, while utility trucks raised power lines as the vessel passed through intersections. The transport began about 6 a.m.

The final work on the boat will be done at the marina, including painting and installation of electronic equipment. The vessel can then be delivered to the customer by sea.
