Land Trust sets auction fundraiser for Aug. 20

Susan Morris has a wheelbarrow of surprises for a lucky bidder at Medomak Valley Land Trust's Summer Sizzle auction Aug. 20.

Waldoboro — Medomak Valley Land Trust presents its fourth annual Summer Sizzle and Auction Sunday, Aug. 20, at 5 p.m. at Tops'l Farm's new event barn on Route 32, Waldoboro. All are welcome.

Sizzle tickets are $75 in advance ($80 at the door) and are available by calling the MVLT office at 832-5570 or to order tickets online, visit online at medomakvalley.org. Advance reservations are recommended.

Participants will enjoy a meal of delicious edibles from local farms with bountiful spreads of produce, meats and cheeses presented by Laura Cabot Catering. Music will be provided by Waldoboro’s own Ale House String Band

The auction will include many one-of-a-kind items, including a block plane from Lie-Nielsen Toolworks, a deep water, 24-foot boat slip in Bremen for the 2018 summer season, a relaxing week for four in a Friendship waterfront cottage, a Midcoast fishing trip with Maine guide Don Kleiner, a tour of the Lobster Conservancy Center on Friendship Long Island, a sunset dinner for six, blueberry raking, watercolor painting, and more.

Kaja Veilleux of Thomaston Place Auction Galleries will be the Sizzle auctioneer.

This is the largest fundraiser for the Medomak Valley Land Trust. Monies raised go toward ensuring that the land trust can continue to steward and preserve land and clean water for generations to come.
