Camden — Knox Mill Holdings, LLC purchased a large piece of the Knox Mill, known as 32 Washington Street, at the end of December.

The individual owners of Knox Mill Holdings are not yet on file with the Secretary of State's office.

Joseph and Paula Goudrea, as KNSM, LLC, purchased the property, which consists of three interconnected buildings, in Sept. 2015. For several years, The Watershed School occupied part of the building at the corner of Washington and Mechanic Streets. The Goudreaus renovated the upper floors of the Mechanic Street side of the building into 32 apartments. Prior to the renovation, the upper floors housed commercial space.

The ground floor spaces on Mechanic Street remained retail space and a restaurant. Rockport Blueprint, at 39 Mechanic Street, has been a long-time retail occupant of the building. The Smokestack Grill occupied the restaurant space when the Goudreaus purchased the building. That restaurant closed in October 2016, and in December of that year the Goudreaus opened Ebantide restaurant. That restaurant closed in April 2017.

The town of Camden assessed the property at $1.56 million in 2017 for property tax purposes.
