Knox County Homeless Coalition launches Adopt-A-Family program

Nov 10, 2020

Each year, Knox County Homeless Coalition, also known as KCHC, holds it's Adopt-a-Family program, giving community members an opportunity to purchase holiday gifts for families they serve in the Midcoast region.

A KCHC press release states, “We invite you to participate in our fifth annual Adopt-A-Family program this year—with a few modifications as we do our best to comply with CDC recommendations for public safety during COVID-19. Our client care team is helping more families than ever before and we hope you’ll join us as we work to brighten the lives of struggling neighbors with a little holiday joy.”

Those interested in adopting a family can do so by selecting and ordering gifts from an online wish list, and having items shipped directly to KCHC where their “elves” will wrap and deliver them, limiting the number of potential interactions.

Anyone who would like to participate should visit homehelphope.org/adoptafamily2020 to find out more.

Donations will also gladly be accepted to help cover locally sourced items at homehelphope.org/donate-now by choosing “Adopt-A-Family” from the drop down menu.
