Knox County closed cases

Rockland — A 33-year-old Nobleboro man who led police on two chases, including one in Knox County in which he was speeding at more than 100 miles an hour with two children in the car, will spend nine months in jail.

Henry Thompson III, 33, of Nobleboro, was sentenced Sept. 9 in Knox County Court. He was sentenced for failing to stop for an officer, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, attaching false plates, refusing to submit to arrest, operating while license suspended or revoked, driving to endanger and violating a condition of release, all for a chase that occurred May 18 in Warren.

Thompson was also sentenced for eluding an officer, failing to stop for an officer, driving to endanger, speeding more than 30 miles per hour over the limit, failure to register vehicle and violating a condition of release for a chase that occurred April 15 in Warren.

A concurrent six-month sentence was imposed on Thompson for failing to stop for an officer Oct. 15, 2018, in Friendship.

The following other cases were completed in Knox County Court from Sept. 6 through Sept. 13.

Kenneth A. Robak, 50, Rockport, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, dismissed; domestic violence terrorizing, dismissed; domestic violence assault, dismissed.

Amos A. Robbins, 39, Rockland, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, and refusing to submit to arrest, all Nov. 18, 2018, in Rockland, 21 days in jail; two counts of violating a condition of release, 21 days in jail.

Chelsea R. Thompson, 29, Rockland, furnishing drug, dismissed; criminal conspiracy April 25 in Rockland, 30 days in jail; violating condition of release, 48 hours in jail.

Joseph Kelley, 41, Woolwich, probation violation on a prior domestic violence assault case, no sentence imposed; OUI, 72 hours in jail, 150-day license suspension, $700 fine.

Shelby Salas, 32, Gardiner, criminal attempt May 7, 2018, in Rockland, $250 fine.

Denna Hewlett Dyer, 43, Appleton, domestic violence assault, dismissed; disorderly conduct July 15 in Appleton, $250 fine.

Nicole L. Leigh, 28, Washington, operating under the influence, dismissed; driving to endanger, 30-day license suspension, $575 fine.

Brandon E. Kavanaugh, 34, Warren, probation violation on a prior drug furnishing charge, 45 days in jail.

Kerry J. Kerrigan, 63, Appleton, OUI, dismissed.

Amanda Demmons, 33, Freeport, criminal trespass Jan. 10 in Rockland, $150 fine.

Sean R. Anderson, 37, Liberty, theft March 20 in Camden, 30 days in jail, restitution of $1,215; unlawful possession of drug April 12 in Rockland, 30 days in jail, $400 fine.

Justin L. Richards, 30, Warren, theft and violating a condition of release April 22 in Rockport, 60 days in jail; unlawful possession of drug, dismissed; violating a condition of release, 60 days in jail; operating while license suspended, 60 days in jail, $250 fine; violating condition of release, 60 days in jail; theft of services May 11 in Rockport, 60 days in jail, restitution of $204; three counts of violating condition of release, 60 days in jail.

Travis R. Gerrier, 25, Dixmont, assault on an officer Oct. 25, 2018, in Warren, six months in prison.

Jacob A. Zernicke, 21, Van Buren, assault on an officer Oct. 25, 2018 in Warren, two years in prison.

Steven M. Heller, 28, Rockland, OUI, 48 hours in jail, 150-day license suspension, $500 fine; driving to endanger, 48 hours in jail.

Casey L. Dean, 36, Rockland, two counts of unlawful possession of drug, 48 hours in jail, $800 fine.

Zachary J. Hare, 31, Rockland, OUI, 48 hours in jail, 150-day license suspension, $500 fine; driving to endanger, 30-day license suspension and $250 fine; failing to return to scene June 10 in Rockland, 48 hours in jail, $250 fine.

Cote McClure, 26, Rockland, failing to register vehicle, $250 fine.

Samara Kurek, 40, Washington, unlawful possession of drug June 10 in Camden, 364 days in jail, all but seven days suspended, one year's probation, $400 fine.

Misty Dawn Gardiner, 43, Rockland, OUI, 150-day license suspension, $750 fine.

Mitchell T. Sawyer, 37, Thomaston, violating municipal shellfish ordinance June 22 in St. George, $750 fine.

Christopher John Spurling, 39, Pittston, criminal mischief July 12 in Rockland, $250 fine and restitution of $36.

Conner J. Andrews, 24, Thomaston, attaching false plates, $250 fine.

Lewis R. Cameron Cray, 21, Vinalhaven, operating while license suspended, dismissed.

James H. Poole II, 36, Vinalhaven, failure to register vehicle, $100 fine.

David J. Pike, 31, Rockland, theft July 22 in Rockland, $250 fine.

WOW! This is really disturbing...so many 20 and up breaking the law and so many drugs. Does anyone have to work anymore or is theft the only alternative to our young people, and I do know there is also an older generation involved here.
