Knox County closed cases

Rockland — The following cases were completed in the Knox County court from July 6 through July 13.

Steven Wehnke, 24, Rockland, sexual abuse of a minor Aug. 15, 2017, in Rockland, 364 days in jail, all suspended, one year's probation. Deputy District Attorney Jeffrey Baroody said Wehnke has significant mental impairment, which played a role in the sentence. He said the prosecution had sought for him to serve some jail time. The victim in the case was a 15-year-old girl. There was no compulsion in the case, he said.

James Carl Smith, 32, Waldoboro,assault on an officer Feb. 21 in Rockland, 60 days in jail; disorderly conduct, criminal attempt, and violating a condition of release, 30 days in jail.

Cristine M. Merrifield, 33, Windsor, probation violation on a prior endangering the welfare of a child case, no sentence imposed.

Rocky L. Hill Jr., 42, Brighton, aggravated operating after habitual offender revocation with priors, 12 months in jail, $1,000 fine; failure to give correct name, address or date of birth, 14 days in jail.

Lydia Powell, 28, Owls Head, failure to produce vehicle or return it to scene on April 12, 2016, in Rockport, dismissed.

Dean M. Feltis, 51, Waldoboro, operating under the influence with one prior, 364 days in jail with all but seven days suspended, one year's probation, $700 fine; operating without license, seven days in jail; criminal mischief April 8 in Warren, seven days in jail.

Joel J. Cesarini, 44, Thomaston, domestic violence assault, dismissed; disorderly conduct April 19 in Cushing, $200 fine.

Yvonne Saldin, 69, Rockland, domestic violence assault, dismissed; disorderly conduct April 21 in Rockland, $250 fine.

Aren J. Polky, 22, St. George, violating a condition of release, $500 fine.

Devin Davis, 31, Warren, disorderly conduct May 5 in Rockland, 48 hours in jail.

Lawrence Wadsworth, 51, Vinalhaven, hunting without a valid license Oct. 20, 2017, on Vinalhaven, dsmissed

Andrew D. Edgcomb, 27. Rockland, displaying fictitious vehicle certificate, $150 fine.

Eve K. Hadley, 38, Rockport, failure to register vehicle, dismissed.

Kaitlynne Hayward, 29, Rockland, failure to register vehicle, dismissed.

John Lee Wall, 53, Rockland, operating while license suspended or revoked, $500 fine.

Anthony M. Joyce, 39, Union, OUI -- alcohol, 72 hours in jail, 150-day license suspension, $500 fine.

Addo Wessin, 44, Brooklyn, N.Y., operating vehicle without license, $500 fine.

Sherrie Demmons, 51, Warren, disorderly conduct May 26 in Warren, $250 fine.

Adam Clark, 32, Camden, operating while license suspended, $250 fine.

Robert Cochran, 39, Belmont, failure to register vehicle, $100 fine.

Ari J. Hecht, 57, Rockland, failure to register vehicle, $100 fine.

Carly Layne Kincaid, 36, Appleton, operating vehicle without license, $150 fine.

Lane J. Randall, 24, Liberty, operating vehicle without license, $150 fine.

Hendrix Hallowell, 18, Rockland, violating a condition of release, 48 hours in jail; minor consuming liquor, $500 fine; possession of marijuana by someone younger than 21, $350 fine.

Lawrence Wadsworth, 51, Vinalhaven, failing to attach moose tag to moose, $100.

Paula Lea McMahon, 58, Rockland, keeping a dangerous dog in Rockland May 14, $250 fine; allowing dog to be at large, $150 fine; allowing dog to be at large, $100 fine.

Paul Belcher Jr., 40, Rockport, keeping an unlicensed dog, $50; failure to vaccinate dog against rabies, $50 fine.

Katerina Campbell, 40, Rockport, keeping unlicensed dog, $50 fine; failure to vaccinate against rabies, $50 fine; allowing dog to be at large, $50 fine.

Randall Blasius, 26, Friendship, lobster and crab fishing without a license, $500 fine.

Keanu Ian Campbell, 17, operating unregistered ATV, $100 fine.

Wai M. Lam, 54, Lisbon, commercial fishing without a license May 14 in Rockland, $146 fine.
