Knox County closed cases

Rockland — The following cases were completed in the Knox County court from March 1 through March 8.

Joseph Kelley, 41, Woolwich, domestic violence assault Jan. 20, 2018, in St. George, 364 days in jail with all but three days suspended, two years' probation.

Mackenzie C.J. Whitehill, 22, Friendship, violating condition of release, 48 hours in jail.

Travis Thorbjornson, 52, Warren, violation of scallop rule Jan. 4 off Vinalhaven, $500 fine.

Caleb J. Meklin, 24, Warren, operating after suspension, $700 fine; displaying suspended driver's license, $50 fine.

Meklin was also in court Wednesday, March 6, where he entered not-guilty pleas to charges of domestic violence terrorizing, domestic violence criminal threatening, criminal trespass and criminal mischief. Judge Paul Mathews set bail at $1,000 cash. The incident is alleged to have occurred the night of March 3 in Warren, when Meklin broke a window and entered a residence to retrieve some belongings and made threatening comments to a woman in the home, according to the affidavit filed in court.
