Waldoboro — Kindred Hearts, a southern gospel singing group based in Newport, will bring its music ministry to The Tent at the top of the hill, Route 1 across from Ralph’s Homes, Friday, July 21, at 7 p.m., as part of this year’s Summer of Praise series.

Kindred Hearts comprises three siblings, Brian Woodbury, Amy Woodbury Dillon and Diane Woodbury Briggs; and their cousin, who is more like a brother, Kevin Lasselle. Having grown up in church, their music has been influenced by many gospel genres, but their family blend of harmonies is rooted in traditional southern gospel.

There is plenty of parking and the concert will go on, rain or shine. The Tent has folding metal chairs, but attendees are welcome to bring a lawn chair or a cushion. The Tent also has screening, so the bugs are kept at bay. For more information, call Pastor Tom Rawley at 446-3288.
