Kindred Hearts

Waldoboro — Everyone is invited to enjoy an evening of food, fellowship and great gospel music with Kindred Hearts Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Waldoboro Word of Life Church, 41 Old Route 1. The 7 p.m. concert and is preceded by a potluck supper at 5:30 p.m.

Kindred Hearts comprises three siblings — Brian Woodbury, Amy Woodbury Dillon and Diane Woodbury Briggs — and their cousin Kevin LaSalle, who has been unable to travel with them recently but can be heard on the group’s CDs. Having grown up in church, their music has been influenced by many gospel genres, but their family blend of harmonies is rooted in traditional Southern Gospel.

Recent concerts have featured songs written by group members, who also play keyboard, bass guitar and acoustic guitar. This flexibility allows them to do a wide variety of concert formats, from worship music for conferences and conventions; to a community concert like this one.

Those who listen to God’s Country radio will recognize Brian as the voice in the morning. In December, the siblings will join The Hyssongs for a God’s Country Christmas Concert in Waterville; in February, Kindred Hearts will be one of the gospel groups on a five-day Caribbean cruise.

All are welcome to bring some food to share at the potluck or just come for the concert. For more information, call 446-3288.
