St. George — Juanita Rose (Davis) Morin, affectionately known as “Grammy, Mammie and/or Mamar” age 76, passed away Sunday May 10, 2020.

Born in Rockland April 17, 1944, and raised in Port Clyde, she attended St. George schools and later received her CNA certification. She resided in and around St. George for the greater part of her life, where she had many adventures with her lifelong friend, Lorna (Hupper) Grey.

She moved to Washington State in 1995 after falling in love with the beautiful pacific northwest while visiting family. She always said, "It’s a lot like Maine, but has the mountains."

Of the various occupational ventures in life, she was very proud of the time she spent as a caregiver to the elderly community, whom she grew fond of through Kno-Wal-Lin Homecare & Hospice.

With an eye for antiques, collectables and jewelry, Juanita and Ron managed numerous successful retail spaces. Above all, Juanita was and always will be a key component to her family. She loved spoiling her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren every chance she had. You could be assured that a visit or call to Grammy would entail compassion, words of advice and or a swift kick in the butt depending on what you really needed. Christmas’s at Grammy’s for her grandchildren was both a celebration and slight safety risk as waddling too close to the mountain of gifts was risky business…

Juanita is preceded by her parents Earl B. and Elvie E. (Cook) Davis and her sister Gertrude (Davis) Cook.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Ronald Morin of 28 years; sons Marshall Hupper of Tenants Harbor and Randall Hupper of Belfair, Wash.; daughters Alicia (Hupper) Covert of Belfair, Wash. and Beth Earl of Rockland; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Final resting place will be at Twin Firs Cemetery in Belfair, Wash. Date to be determined.
