John C. Alfieri

Camden — John C. Alfieri, a longtime resident of South Plainfield and Barnegat, N.J., died July 12, 2017 at Sussman House in Rockport.

Born Sept. 21, 1929, in Orange, N.J., to Felicia and Raphael Alfieri, John was a 1947 graduate of Orange High School and served in the Air Force.

John had a long career in the metal coatings business, first as a plant manager for B&M Finishers in Kenilworth, N.J., and then as a sales representative for General Magnaplate in Linden, N.J., and A&A Coatings in South Plainfield, N.J. After retirement, John worked in the Facilities Management Department at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin, N.J.

In 2013, John relocated to Midcoast Maine, where he enjoyed spending time with newfound friends and the family dogs, and remaining connected with family and friends back home.

John was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Rose Mary, sisters Anna and Antoinette, and brothers Louis, Victor and Ralph. He is survived by his daughters, Felicia Feldman of Camden, and Linda Alfieri of Glendale, Ariz.; and his sister, Elizabeth Cannici, of Fair Lawn, N.J.
