Rockland — James David McConnell, 56, of Rockland, passed away on the evening of Feb. 21, 2021, peacefully surrounded by loved ones at home.

James grew up on Gould St., in Camden. He got his first degree from CMVTI where he met his future wife. He went on to get an associate's degree from Maine Maritime while a long time BIW employee. He was well known for his sense of humor.

Now retired, he enjoyed traveling with his loving wife of 31 years and restoring classic muscle cars in his spare time.

James is survived by his wife Terresa; sons Derek and Joshua; daughter-in-laws Jamie and Stephanie; grandson Keegan; siblings Patrick, Kevin and Elaine; nieces and nephews Kerry, Michael, Frank, Christina and Kirah.

He was preceded in death by his mother Kathleen and sisters Mary and Anita.

Graveside services will be held in spring. Notice to follow.
