Glass blower David Jacobson is among the Midcoast artists donating work and more to the annual West Bay Rotary Christmas tree fundraiser’s new gift shop.

Rockport — West Bay Rotary's Christmas tree fundraiser includes a new gift shop, with gifts donated by local artists and businesses.

One of these artists is glass blower David Jacobson of Montville, who donated glass-blowing experiences to help raise money to benefit local charities. West Bay Rotary is selling gift certificates that enable recipients to experience the excitement of glass blowing at Jacobson Glass Studio by creating two hand-blown keepsake ornaments.

Jacobson will be at the new Pass-Me-Down Shop Sunday, Dec. 3, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Maine Sport Outfitters, 115 Commercial St./Route 1. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artist and learn more about him and his studio. He is excited to share his passion and answer questions that people may have about the experiences being offered.

Net proceeds of the Christmas tree fundraiser and gift shop benefit local charities. Regular hours are weekdays from noon to 6 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
