Henry Ingraham went downtown to get his picture taken in 1860, with a dog he bought for 5¢.

Rev. Peter and Eleanor Motley Richardson will present their new 1169 page book, The Ingraham Diaries 1795-1875 in a lecture October 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the community room at the Rockland Library, which is co-sponsoring the event with Rockland Historical Society.  David Sulin will give dramatic readings from the Diaries, in addition to the illustrated lecture.  The Ingrahams were farmers in the South End of Rockland in the 19th Century.
