Pen Pal Tea

Why: Because we will miss you if you're not there! Please call 785-4081 to let us know if you can't make it. Please arrange a day to come have lunch with your student if you cannot come to the tea. Parent volunteers needed. Please contact your room parents for more information.

Pen Bay Y Summer Camp Registration

The Pen Bay Y is now taking registrations for its summer sports camp and day camp programs. There are a variety of sports programs going on throughout the summer.

The summer will begin with Soccer Camp from June 23 through 27.

July 7 through 11 will be Karate Camp with the Korean Schools of Karate.

Aug. 11 through 15 will feature our Sailfish Swim Camp that is a great chance for any child interested in working on their strokes to get some individual attention.

North Atlantic Gymnastics Academy will be running four weeks of camp June 23, July 21, July 28, and August 4. This is a great camp for all levels of interest and ability in gymnastics.

Space is limited in all the sports camps so sign up soon.

Our Camp-A-Homa Day Camp program will begin the week of June 23 and run through the week of Aug. 18. Each week will feature exciting field trips, beach excursions to great Midcoast beaches as well as traditional activities such as archery with certified instructors, camp games, and arts and crafts projects. Our programs are for campers ages 6 through 11 and run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with before and after care available.

In addition our new Adventure Camp program will have opportunities for campers ages 12 through 14.

June 30 through July 3 will be our Outdoor Adventure Week. Campers will experience canoeing, hiking, ecology lessons, and survival and first aid training.

July 7 through 18 will be a two-week Sailing Camp in collaboration with the Rockport Boat club. Campers will spend the morning learning the basics of sailing at the boat club and then be transported to the Y’s Teen Center to spend the afternoon involved with activities with Teen Center Staff.

July 28 through Aug. 1 will be Amusement Park Week. The campers will spend the week hopping to different amusement parks in Maine and New Hampshire and spend several days camping out along the way.

August 4 through 7 is our Camping in Acadia Week. Campers will have the opportunity to go camping in one of our national parks. Days will be spent hiking, enjoying the beaches and participating in other outdoor camping activities.
