Thomaston — On Nov. 6, the Rockland Home Depot donated two picnic tables to the Thomaston Grammar School Fifth-Grade Common Ground Garden.

These tables were built at the the Home Deport store and delivered to TGS by employees. Upon there arrival, all fifth-graders greeted the delivery truck and escorted the truck and the tables to the garden. The tables were lifted from the truck and with teamwork, the students moved the tables into place in the garden. Shouts of genuine thanks were heard as the truck drove away, back to Home Depot.

This donation will help the school realize the goal of making the garden an "outdoor classroom" that may be used by all TGS students, according to a news release from the school.
