Holiday interrupts updates of COVID-19 cases

The daily updates of COVID-19 cases in Maine have been affected due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

"Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, some data updates will not be available between Thursday, November 26, and Sunday, November 29," the CDC website states.

The numbers posted on Friday, Nov. 27 show no changes in the number of cases compared to the previous day. Nine additional recoveries statewide were reported. No additional deaths statewide were reported.

There were no changes in the number of new cases, recoveries, or deaths in Knox, Lincoln, or Waldo counties.

One change listed was the number of hospitalizations statewide. That showed an increase of eight with 113 people now in the hospital due to the virus, 48 in intensive care units, and 13 on ventilators.
