Pictured is Conway Day, Aug. 30, 1906. A large number of horses were harnessed to move a boulder honoring William Conway up Main Street in Camden to its final location. The building at left is probably the Allen Insurance Agency currently. Joshua Chamberlain was the keynote speaker. The navy sent seven battleships. The speaking event was held at the grandstand at the Trotting Park behind the high school on Knowlton Street.
