Penobscot Marine Museum has a collection of historic photos with little to no documentation. The Camden Herald is publishing some of these "mystery" photos to see if readers can help add to the museum's information.

The caption on this photo reads "The Atlantic Tropical Nut House, RFD No. 2, Lincolnville, ME."

Those who have further information about the photos should email news@courierpublicationsllc.com or write Camden Herald, 113 Washington St., Camden ME, 04843.

From the first time I saw this I thought it was Northport where the diner is now just up from the Lincolnville line.

Having lived in and around Lincolnville for a long time, I can't say as this is Lincolnville Maine. By the looks of the car in the left hand side of the picture, I'd say 1930's would be my guess and I know the beach never looked like this. I am curious if anyone could enlighten me into where and when this was taken.
