Hill-N-Dale show team makes impact at Rusty Knees Horse Trials

Dover-Foxcroft — The Hill-N-Dale show team made an impact on Sunday, Sept. 3 at Rusty Knees Horse Trials.

Eventing, also known as horse trials, is an equestrian event where a single horse and rider combination compete against other combinations across the three disciplines of dressage, cross country and show jumping.

Hill-N-Dale's show team, out of Warren, traveled to Dover-Foxcroft to take top places in Elementary and Introductory levels.

The following are the results for the Midcoast participants, with the name of the competitor, name of horse, town of the competitor and place of finish listed:

Elementary level — Sophia Miller, Monkey Business, Tenants Harbor, first.

Intro level — Izabella Simmons, Sheezar Exceller, Tenants Harbor, fourth; Ava Sprowl, Royal Decoupage, Appleton, second; Sophia Lichti, Jolene, Warren, first; Zoe Maltese, Oz Ruby Slippers, Camden, second; and Xavier Cummings, Shire, Warren, third.
